Throughout this course we learnt a variety of new and important skills when it comes to editing.
This included importing files and creating libraries and projects on Final Cut Pro ( the editing software we are using) to make sure all the shots taken are organised into filed and can be easily saved onto Final Cut Pro. Also, we learnt two different ways of editing music videos, cutting visuals to the beat using either solid backgrounds ( blank backgrounds where you would press "B" to each beat to separate shots) or markers (pressing "M" to create markers on the timeline to input videos).
Furthermore, the class was given a useful insight into editing shortcuts to make the editing process easier and editing techniques like how to layer frames (using opacity settings) and using transform and cropping of images and text.

The course, overall, was a vital learning process that gave the class more ideas and concepts to play around with through editing and our guide, Dennis, set us a challenge to learn more about the abilities of Final Cut Pro and to learn more about colour correction, converting music onto MP3 and look into getting a free editing software version of Final Cut Pro to test when we are not in school (Hit Film Express).
